Soul & The Nervous System: Craniosacral Biodynamics and the Renewing Energy of Great Nature.

Soul heals the world. Without it we cannot function with resilience and ease. Insane existence results. Listen to an aria and tell me this isn’t so. Or favorite piece of music that opens your heart and brain. Imagine a life without this experience. Seriously, how would we survive? There is sound research on neuroscience and its effects on us interpersonally.

I love what Michael Meade shares about this:

“Soul is most lacking in the world, yet soul awakens in the midst of conflict and crisis. Even as everything breaks down soul knows where to reconnect to life. Soul connects our inner nature to the renewing energy of great Nature and soul is the true source of resiliency in each of us.

His words remind me of the core of Craniosacral Biodynamics, its work tapping into the connection between body and spirit, flesh and Holy Spirit Ether, the element of soul sustenance. Without resilience we cannot move on. We cannot even move.

Here Meade shares again the value of cultivating soul in our lives:

“Being soulfully present in our lives settles the psyche and helps us cope with a troubled, unsettled world. What moves and heals and stirs the individual soul can also move and heal the world.”

I would like to add that what settles the psyche also unequivocally settles the nervous system, and vice versa. What are we doing as a collective to settle our nervous system together? We do, after all, function as part of a larger unified nervous system. Those of us who spend their lifetime - their dharma - on cultivating a balanced nervous system know this. Parents that model this for their kids, know this.

If you’d like to learn how to metabolize trauma and feel your soul again, I am here for you. I work via zoom, hands-on, and distance healing. Schedule with me here.
